Going above and beyond - It would be great if there were a built-in tool that showed the trip leader the estimated meal budget. This would be based on the number of participants on the trip, the number of meals on that trip, and the cost of meal per person per meal.
For our Troop, that cost is $4.50 per person per meal. Each troop should have the ability to set their own cost.
This should be viewable to the trip leader, but could also be viewable to the public (e.g. the grub master isn't sure, but they can log in from their phone while at walmart and double check the budget).

Thanks for the idea, Rick! A built-in meal budget planner (participants × meals × your troop's per-meal cost, viewable by the trip leader and optionally the grubmaster) isn't in the product today. We love how concrete this is — our live signup roster already gives you the firm headcount grubmasters usually struggle to get, so a per-meal cost calculator on top of that is a natural fit. We're keeping this open for others to vote on and weigh in. If you have a sample of how your troop currently estimates this (meals per day, typical per-person cost), that would help us design it well.

For setting up the cost per person/per meal where would this be set? Would this be set on an individual trip basis or would there be a global setting in the settings area that set a default cost per meal/per trip?
